Frequently Asked Questions
Do many STIs really have no symptoms?
Yes — and that’s more common than most people realize.
Many sexually transmitted infections can be present without obvious symptoms, which is why routine testing is an important part of overall sexual wellness and peace of mind.
Testing is not about assumptions — it’s about taking care of yourself confidently and responsibly.
Will anyone know I booked?

What is PCR STI testing?
PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing is a highly sensitive molecular testing method commonly used to detect infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis.
PCR testing is widely utilized because of its accuracy and ability to detect infections even when symptoms may not be present.
Why is PCR testing important?
Many infections may be asymptomatic, meaning a person can feel completely well and still test positive.
PCR testing helps support earlier detection, timely treatment, and informed sexual wellness decisions.
Routine testing can be an important part of preventive healthcare and peace of mind.
Can treatment be provided during the visit?
When clinically appropriate, treatment may be provided during the same visit. In many cases, medication may be dispensed onsite directly during your appointment for added convenience, privacy, and faster access to care. No waiting room. No pharmacy stop.
Will I need to go to a pharmacy?
No. When clinically appropriate and available, medications may be dispensed directly during your visit, helping reduce additional errands, pharmacy lines, and unnecessary exposure of personal health concerns.
Do I need symptoms to book an appointment?
Not at all. Many people seek testing or consultations for: Routine screening - New relationships - Peace of mind - Travel-related concerns - Condom failure - Potential exposure - Preventive sexual wellness care. Sexual health is healthcare.
Is sexual wellness care only for people who think they have an STI?
No. Sexual wellness includes prevention, education, confidence, healthy relationships, body awareness, and proactive healthcare — not just testing.
We believe sexual health conversations should feel normal, respectful, and stigma-free.

What is Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT)?
EPT allows partners of certain STI-positive patients to receive treatment without a separate medical evaluation when permitted and clinically appropriate under Florida guidelines. This can help reduce reinfection and support community sexual health.
What is PEP?
PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a time-sensitive medication regimen that may help reduce the risk of an STI after a possible exposure. The sooner evaluation occurs after a potential exposure, the better — ideally within 72 hours.
What is Doxy-PEP?
Doxy-PEP involves the use of doxycycline after certain sexual exposures to help reduce the risk of some bacterial STIs in select individuals.
It is not appropriate for everyone, but we can discuss whether it may be an option based on your health history and risk factors.
